is saban going to bama?
at this point who the f*ck knows? my gut tells me he is staying put. i did some searching earlier today and most of the stuff i found seemed to indicate that nicky was planning on returning to the dolphins. the biggest clue i found came as saban was discussing ronnie brown's performance. he indirectly hinted that he planned on welcoming back ricky williams to the team next year. saban said that 15-20 touches per game is ideal and that the running game should be more effective with another guy(williams) to carry the rest of the load.you have to believe that only saban would welcome williams back to miami after the arcuntsaw offense-like circus that has followed around the former longhorn running back since his love for trees became public a couple years ago. i know its hard to infer from that stuff whether or not he is going to take the alabama job, but the more different scenarios i ponder, the more i believe he is going to stay. its obvious that he and agent jimmy sexton are trying to pull a little heist on the dolphins brass to get more money, but im also actually hearing that the main thing saban wants added to his contract is at least one more year(which of course would bring more money) its safe to assume that daunte culpepper will be as healthy as he possibly can be by the time next season starts. ronnie brown and "sticky" ricky williams will be back. theres been talk that jason taylor has pondered retirement, but that just sounds like 'veteran blowing off emotional steem at end of disappointing season' talk. so with taylor and zach thomas, who i belive is the best linebacker in the league, the dolphins will return their always imposing defense. basically what im trying to say is that the dolphins are on the brink of putting together the year that all the pundits thought they would have this past year. so i think lil nicky stays in south beach. and bama pursues petrino(not gonna happen) john gruden(not gonna happen) and either paul johnson, jim grobe, or david cutcliffe(seems like a good fit to me)
so, yea im basically going out on a limb here and making my prediction, but dont expect to see TEH NICKTATOR in tuscamaloosa. anyone with a name like mal moore is a dumbass. mal moore might as well go for broke and sign hal mumme. the sec misses the sunglasses. bring back the sunglasses. or not.
some quotes:
''We can't be certain about Daunte because you have a physical issue there that he is going to be rehabbing for a significant amount of time,'' Saban said, ``but we're hopeful by some point in March, when we start physically doing things, that he'll be able to physically do things and we'll be able to make an evaluation of him."
''We need a playmaker-type guy in the secondary, a guy that makes interceptions and ball-hawks,'' Saban said. ``[Safety] Yeremiah Bell certainly did some of that for us. We need other players in the back end to make those kinds of plays.''
(the chance to draft laron landry??)

My hangover-torn gut tells me he's going. But I don't know how long he lasts if he doesn't get 18 wins per year.
he'll be coaching thhe chicago bears in a few years
